ABOUT THE COMPANY
Clients service area includes:
Subsea Trenching and Construction Equipment - provision of subsea trenching and construction support ROV's, offering technical differentiation to all levels of the subsea construction supply chain, operating globally within Oil & Gas, Telecoms, Seismic, Utilities and Military subsea sectors.
Subsea and Seabed intervention support - provision of extended support array including Trenching and Subsea Engineering, Vessel Spread provision and management, Operating personnel provision, Spares provision and management and Logistics support and management.
THE ROLE
To lead the development, implementation and maintenance of QHSE management systems, and to support the achievement of QHSE goals and objectives of the Company.
To ensure that the Company is fulfilling its responsibilities in relation to all applicable Health and Safety & Environmental legislation and any applicable QHSE customer requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
· Provide leadership, coaching and training to all staff on their responsibilities in relation to health, safety & environmental legislation
· Advise on compliance and practical application of HS&E legislation
· Ensure the Company certification to ISO 14001, ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001 are adhered to, maintained and demonstrate continual improvement.
· Investigate and report on all potential hazards and dangerous occurrences, including all “near misses”, accidents and ill health experiences in collaboration with the relevant staff members and/or external agencies
· Participate in internal and external audit programs and the follow up of close out progress in the agreed time scales
· System development, including management system procedures, risk assessments, electronic systems and training
Onshore Operational Support
Provide operational support to the onshore management team including:
· Risk assessment, procedures and bridging document review
· Audits or site/equipment inspections
· Implementation of Client initiatives
Offshore Operational Support
Provide operational support to the onshore management team including:
· Review in conjunction with the offshore management team of QHS&E statistics and feedback
· Assist the development and implementation of forward plans to improve QHS&E performance (lessons learned)
· Participate in incident investigations onsite and follow up to incident and incident trends
· Implementation of Company or Client initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will hold a relevant Health & Safety Qualification (minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent) and will be a proven health and safety professional, demonstrating a solid QHSE background (capable of setting up the QHSE Management system), preferably operating within the Offshore Oil and Gas/Subsea Construction industry sector.
