Proposals Engineer – Salary £33,368 to £46,285 Per Annum – Permanent Position- Based in Aberdeen
Our Client is looking for an experienced person to support in the overall delivery of the Group’s business objectives, whilst implementing departmental procedures in line with Company standards.
The Suitable candidate will be responsible for the receipt, control, and preparation and estimating of all enquiries and invitation to tender done in such a manner as to ensure an effective and timely response to prospective clients.
The candidate will also be Responsible for ensuring that accurate records and archiving systems is maintained for enquiries and tenders to ensure that all information is readily retrievable.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing good working relationships with all managers and supervisors to ensure that information is readily available so that all enquiries and tenders can be responded to efficiently.
- Acting as a liaison between the company and client for the purpose of clarification of tenders/enquiries.
- The receipt, distribution and disposition of all enquiries and invitations to tender received by the fabrication facility including:
- Registering receipt of all enquiries/tenders on the bid register and arranging correct distribution.
- Estimating the cost of all enquiries /tenders received by the Marine Division utilising a range of tools.
- Accurately costing off enquiries/tenders and passing relevant information onto management for review and agreement on offer.
- Submission of approved offer on time and in compliance with client requirements.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrable estimating experience within ship and rig repair is essential.
- Ability to assess work scopes and quantify tasks.
- Familiarity of ship repair forms of contract is desirable.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and use of planning tool Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environmeny
