Senior Software Engineers & Software Engineers required – Long Term Contract Assignments based in SW England and/or Scotland – Excellent Contract Rates
International Oil & Gas Service organisation has several long-term assignments for experienced Senior Software Engineers & Software Engineers to work on embedded software products. Assignments will be based in either South-West England and/or Scotland.
Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be responsible for engineering and maintenance of embedded software products in accordance with a development plan, ensuring that the product requirements are met in accordance with planned timescales and costs.
Successful candidates will have a proven ability to specify and design software for sub-systems; and proven ability to carry out significant software development.
Experience:
· Degree qualified in Software Engineering or Equivalent
· Ideally 8 years post graduate software engineering experience, working on real time embedded software development projects and working within a controlled software development department, under a quality management system
· Extensive experience developing software in C and C++
· Knowledge of Digital Electronics Systems
· Experience of Communications & Telemetry systems such as Serial Protocols (Modbus/Profibus), TCP/IP, Ethernet, PPP and CANOpen
· Preferred experience in electronics debugging facilities, such as In-Circuit Emulators, Protocol Analysers and Oscilloscopes
