Project Engineer – Negotiable salary (depending on experience) – Based in Catterick – Staff role

 

My client has a long history of providing pipeline pigging and pipeline management solutions for the flow assurance industry and has developed expert knowledge of polyurethane technology. Due to their growth they have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer.

 

 

Main Duties:

 

This includes the following duties:

·        Technical Review of Enquiry Specifications / Documents and production of material take offs for costing purposes.

·        The preparation of and checking/approval of Design Data for customer approval, including pressure calculations, GA and detail drawings.

·        The preparation of and checking/approval of Inspection, Fabrication and Test Procedures for customer approval.

·        The preparation, checking, approval and issue of material lists and specifications for procurement.

·        The timely and correct issue of design data/drawings, fabrication, inspection and test procedures to production.

 

 Specific Training / Specialist Skills:

 

·        2D/ 3D drafting skills using Soildworks or AutoCad.

·         Excellent Communication skills.

·         Ability to plan and monitor contracts in terms of time and cost.

·         Computer skills in Word/Excel for the production of progress and cost reports, fabrication, test and inspection plans and procedures.

·         Ability to liaison with Customers (UK and Overseas) and chair technical clarification, inspection and internal and external progress meetings.

·         Be able to represent the company with autonomy whether in the presence of clients or at overseas/domestic subcontractors

 Experience:

 

·         Must have a minimum of five years project engineering experience in a fabrication, engineering, pressure vessel or piping related role.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Candidates should be minimum HNC/D qualified in an engineering discipline.
