Senior HSE Advisor– Excellent negotiable salary (depending on experience) – Based in Aberdeen –Staff

Job Description:

The Project HSE Advisor will fulfil a senior role within the Project Team, empowered to assist the Project Manager in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the Project. 

 

Main Duties:

·        Ensure that HSE plans and relevant HSE Management System and ER documentation is established, implemented and maintained in the project.

·         Providing support and advice to all project and worksite personnel on matters related to HSE

·       Participation in, Chairmanship and review of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments as required.

·         Participation in accident/incident/and near miss investigations and implementation of corrective actions where required.

·         External Audits of subcontractor activities including audits of third party vessels where required

·         Identification or trends regarding the recurrence of accidents/incidents/near misses providing feedback to vessels, offshore worksites, onshore worksites and the project management team as necessary.

·         Participation in the development and implementation of project HSE management procedures as required.

 

Education & Qualifications:

 

Essential: 

·         Candidates should possess a recognised HSE qualification

 

Preferred:

·         CMIOSH

·         Recognised Auditing qualification

·         Formal Accident / Incident Investigation training

 

Experience:

Essential:

·         At least 5 years experience in a related industry

·         Candidates should possess an excellent working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and the application of this to subsea construction activities

·         Knowledge of offshore operations in the subsea construction sector

·         Experienced auditor – internal & external

·         In depth knowledge of accident investigation techniques

 

Preferred:

·         Previous experience of providing HSE support to EPIC projects

·         Experience of delivering training to small and large groups
