WILTON-based specialist recruitment firm TechConsult has struck a deal to supply CTC Marine Projects with engineers for its overseas oil and gas operation, including its latest programme in Asia.
It follows a contract to supply a quarter of CTC’s Singaporean project in June and July placed a quarter of the team working there.
Nick Lee, CTC’s senior resourcing and development officer, said: “Our partnership with TechConsult UK means that we are able to source highly skilled engineers who can support our subsea operations throughout the world. Techconsult understand CTC as a business and this will be key as we continue to expand into Asia, and the need for skilled engineers to work on our global projects increases.”
A subsidiary of the Norwegian TechConsult Group, the Wilton office, established by MD Steve Guest in 2006, took a strategic decision to diversify its services, moving from the core process sector clients to the booming subsea energy industries. It grew turnover from £900,000 in 2007 to £2m last year and is on course to hit around £3m by the end of 2009.
